cHI. Jeion (He-awn) IsaiaMona Green (They/Them) is a Gender-non-binary artist, photographer, award-winning filmmaker, and screenwriter whose practice operates as Performative Praxis - a self-directed scholarship rooted in the belief that sustained creative work, across disciplines and time, constitutes its own form of credentialing. A native of Baltimore, MD, Jeion is an independent artist whose practice centers on autoethnographic fine art - a methodology that has evolved from an earlier foundation in self-portraiture photography & Performance art into a more expansive inquiry into cultural identity, memory, and lived experiences as primary source material.
Their current major collection Gesto Apparanthem (acts brought into appearance) is a gathering of in progress, finished, unfinished, and discarded works that speak coherently only when held together - anchored alongside its theoretical counterpart Voluntas Auctum (will, expanded). Within this framework sit The End Degree (a self-determined credential in Performative Praxis), aLucet Feri Vivere - Memento Mori (a suite of autoethnographic objects built from six years of continuous revision on archival cotton surfaces, where graphite, fingerprints, and wear stand as evidence of lived time and labor made visible), Screen Test (a talent discovery competition and cultural correction), and Project Ocean Shores a short film, video performance piece, and proof of concept inspired by Rocket Power (originating as the script How It Started and evolving into a sustained inquiry into will, authority, and representation).
Jeion holds a BFA in Photography with a minor in Film from Parsons, The New School (New York City), where they pursued graduate studies in Film and Performance Art & Theory at the same institution. They also hold a PhD in Visionary Narrative Architecture & Performative Praxis - a self-conferred doctorate from "Green University" (a university created as a part of Gesto Apparanthem), in the lineage of practice-as-research scholarship. The degree was conferred on May 18, 2026 - based on 25+ years of lived experience and 8+ years of documented study (2018–2026) in code-switching as performative praxis, with accompanying dissertation work positioning neurodiversity as visionary narrative architecture rather than as disability alone.
They are recognized for producing the Oscar-contending short Tribes, Flesh & Spirit, and Boys Don't Wear Dresses - led entirely by a disabled (Autistic) cast with a majority disabled and diverse crew. Television credits include Black-ish, Career Opportunities in Murder & Mayhem, Snowfall, Reasonable Doubt, The Jennifer Hudson Show, TED the series, and Unstoppable (starring Jennifer Lopez) in the Production Accessibility Department. They worked with Sundance Institute's Feature Film Program International team (2018–2019) and returned to Sundance in 2023. A 2024 & 2025 Disability Belongs Entertainment Lab finalist, Jeion is a proud advocate for LGBTQ+ and disabled communities and serves on the board of the Baltimore County Art Guild.
Jeion is also the founder of Soleath, LLC – a 501(c)(3) nonprofit based in Baltimore County, Maryland, founded in 2023 in Los Angeles, CA to build the spaces that should have already existed: where art, healing, community, and ambition are not separate things but expressions of one commitment. Born from personal experience navigating homelessness and addiction recovery without access to a space that integrated art, community, and self-reclamation, Soleath operates from the conviction that art is not supplemental to healing – it is the structure of it. The act of making, witnessing, and being witnessed is itself a form of recovery from exclusion, from invisibility, and from systems never built with historically excluded communities in mind. Soleath's areas of practice span arts and cultural programming, recovery and wellness, culinary arts, AI literacy for artists – including understanding AI copyright law and navigating AI use in ways that demonstrate work is human-made in the current technological and ever evolving AI movement. The guiding principle: the future is built by the people who return to build it.

Whether the practice is artistic, culinary, technological, or communal — every program we build begins from the same premise: that people from historically excluded communities deserve spaces designed to see them, hold them, and grow with them.
Soleath was founded from personal experience — navigating addiction recovery without access to the kind of space that integrates art, community, and self-reclamation. What became clear through that process is that art is not supplemental to healing. It is the structure of it. The act of making, witnessing, and being witnessed is itself a form of recovery — from exclusion, from invisibility, from systems that were never built with you in mind.
Our work is rooted in the belief that the future is built by the people who return to build it. Soleath is that return — to Baltimore, to community, to the idea that a space can be green, breathable, accessible, and alive with the actual texture of the people it serves.
This is not aspirational. It is already in motion.
